Every photographs in Japan,
Only one almanac
The Photographic Society of Japan has been publishing an
annual report on photography since 1958 for distribution
among members.
As the Society has been categorized in 2011 as a Public
Interest Institution, the annual report has now been altered to Japan Photo Almanac both for distribution among members and for the public sales, with the contents for broader interest of the public.
For this purpose, this Almanac pays more attention and allocate more space for The Works by Prize Winners at Almanac Gallery 2012, Photo Exhibitions 2012, Books on Photography 2012, as well as Interviews with People in Topic 2012. This has caused the increase by some 100 pages with the resulting 256 pages.
The current Almanac covers the period from January 1 through December 31, 2012.
The contents are divided into 15 chapters as follows:
